As we heard at the coronation of King Charles III, Handel’s Zadok the Priest is one of the most spinetingling moments in all music. His other three coronation anthems are an infectious mix of grandeur, celebratory joy and tenderness. Dixit Dominus is another flamboyant choral classic, written to impress Italian audiences when the young composer was flexing his compositional muscles his in Rome.
